Tin Can Bay Motel contacted us because they wanted a fresh clean and crsip look to their online presence.
The challenge was to create a website that was great looking and yet easy enough to navigate for both national and international users.
We also needed to look at how we could as seamlessly as possible integrate their bookings service with the rooms page on their website.
The key points were looks, navigation, search optimization, and user interaction and responsiveness.
Clean crisp whites with light greys were used as the base design, while colors from their logo were used to accentuate the fonts, headings and buttons. We went for the fixed width 1024px to suit a still very large percentage of monitor users as well as ipads and other hand held tablet devices.
To connect the rooms with the bookings we simply placed their bookings button next to each room which took the user to a new page giving them all the options to book a room via centiumsoftware's booking page. We also integrated a translation plugin should overseas tourists desire to read about the motel or the area in their own language.
The entire website was implemented into Joomla's content management framework and the web administrator interface was customized to suit only the features the client needed to manage their website. Basic search engine optimization was implemented across the websites pages. We also created HTML styled emails as respnses to enquiries and also HTML email notifications to the motel management.
